1. About these terms

These terms apply to every booking that an Umrah agency (“you”, “the agency”) makes with The Umrah Workshop (“we”, “us”), and to the use of the agency portal on this website. They are meant for businesses, not for consumers. By registering an account and by booking, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

We organise workshops in Medina for pilgrims after their Umrah, for the groups of Umrah agencies:

  • The Umrah Canvas, a painting workshop for women;
  • The Arabic Perfume, a perfume workshop for men.

Each workshop takes about 2 hours, including a break with a buffet, and is led by experienced tutors. Materials are included. The programme and the exact times are shown in the portal when you book; the times follow the prayer times and can differ slightly per group.

3. Your account and the portal

  • You register your agency with correct and complete details and keep them up to date. You can change them in the portal under Profile.
  • New accounts are approved by our team before you can book.
  • You keep your password secret and make sure only authorised colleagues use the account. You are responsible for what happens through your account. Tell us at once at info@umrahworkshop.com if you think someone else has used it.
  • You use the portal only for its purpose. You do not try to see data of other agencies, do not disturb or overload the website, and do not use it in an unlawful way.
  • We may block an account that is misused.

4. Booking a date

You choose a date and a group in the portal. Holding a date is free of charge and without obligation until we have confirmed it. You receive a booking number straight away. Our team then confirms your booking, and you can follow its status in the portal.

After the confirmation you tell us the number of participants, as described in the next section. We then send you an invoice.

5. Number of participants

  • You give the number of women and the number of men separately, from 4 weeks before the arrival date until 2 weeks before the arrival date at the latest.
  • For each workshop you can give either 0 (no participants in that workshop) or a number between 8 and 20. A number below 8 is not possible.
  • When you have given the numbers, the invoice is made automatically. If you need to change numbers after that, contact us at info@umrahworkshop.com; this is only possible with our approval.
  • If a participant drops out after the number has been given and invoiced, the invoiced amount remains payable.

6. Price and payment

  • The price is $29 per person, including VAT, in US dollars. The invoice is in English.
  • You pay by bank transfer, no later than 2 weeks before the arrival date, with the invoice number as the payment reference. The bank details are on the invoice.
  • Any bank charges of the sender are for your account.
  • The workshop takes place only once we have received the full invoiced amount. Bank transfers can take several days, so please pay in good time, no later than 2 weeks before arrival. If the amount has not been received in time, we may not be able to hold the workshop on the booked date.
  • What you charge your own guests is entirely up to you.

7. Cancelling or changing a booking

  • Up to 2 weeks before arrival. You can cancel a booking free of charge, without giving a reason, up to 2 weeks before the arrival date. Cancel in the portal, or send an e-mail with your booking number to info@umrahworkshop.com.
  • Less than 2 weeks before arrival. Cancelling without a reason is then not possible: the invoiced amount remains payable.
  • Force majeure on your side. If something outside your control stops your group from coming, for example the trip or the Umrah group is cancelled, or flights, visas or restrictions by authorities make the journey impossible, you can also cancel free of charge less than 2 weeks before arrival. Tell us as soon as possible, and on request show us that this is the case.
  • Another date. You can choose another date in consultation with us, up to 2 weeks before the arrival date. Write to info@umrahworkshop.com.

8. Force majeure on our side

If a workshop cannot take place because of circumstances we cannot influence, for example restrictions by authorities or unforeseen events that make it impossible, we inform you as soon as possible and offer another date. If that is not possible, we refund what you paid for that workshop.

9. Liability

Our liability for any claim in connection with a workshop is limited to the invoiced amount for that workshop, except in case of intent or gross negligence on our side.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We announce important changes on the website or by e-mail. A change applies to bookings you make after it; a booking that we already confirmed stays under the terms that applied when you made it, unless you agree otherwise.
